Exciting art therapy trainings took place within the framework of For Kids UA

News

Almost all of last week, the team of the Charitable Foundation «Modern Ukraine» was engaged in the organization of exciting intensives within the framework of the For Kids UA social project. It was a series of art therapy trainings for children affected by the war.

They were implemented through the joint efforts of Tetyana Myalkovska, an art therapist from Volyn, as well as the Modern Ukraine and Save Ukraine Charitable Foundations.

Thousands of children’s fantasies, hundreds of strokes of the brush and dozens of fascinating works, based on the reflection of inner suffering, fears and family tragedies. All this was part of every activity with children.

In some places, the little one was so inspired that she started to cry, talk about her experiences and what she aspires to or dreams of.

Another pleasant discovery of the trainings was the joining of some parents. Some mothers first tried to help their children with instructions, and later started drawing themselves. They conveyed their own inner world and the anxieties accumulated during the difficult period of occupation, difficult evacuation or even captivity.

After completing the training for each work and drawing, Tetiana Myalkovska conducted an individual psychodiagnosis and voiced personal advice on how to work with children in the future. It was sincere and relaxed, and most importantly, it was felt that such work heals and allows many people to be inspired by new things, to see the light in the darkness of their difficult military days.

We sincerely thank Tetyana Myalkovska for this incredible result. We hope that this is just the start of our joint marathon of kindness and support for war-affected children

We would also like to separately note the support in the organization of trainings by Yulia Sydorenko and Oleksiy Fedchenko, executive director and head of the Save Ukraine reference center.

Recently, we talked about how, as part of the For Kids UA social project, the Foundation helped a nurse who saved children from deportation in occupied Kherson.
