The Foundation continues to expand cooperation with the Republic of Serbia
Tetyana Shcherbak, head of the Central Office of the “Modern Ukraine” Charitable Foundation, and Pavlo Babenko, coordinator of the Foundation’s cultural programs, met with a delegation from Serbia to demonstrate the dire consequences of the Russian occupation of Kyiv.
In particular, we are talking about the deputy of the parliament of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina of the Republic of Serbia, the chairman of the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina Nenad Canak and the lawyer and activist Cedomir Stojkovic. They spent a few days in Ukraine to raise awareness of the realities of the war in our country and to convey this information to the politicians and society of their own country.
During the visit, the Serbian delegation accompanied by representatives of the Foundation visited Bucha, where they talked with the mayor Anatoliy Fedoruk, visited the places of mass torture of the residents of the capital community. In addition, guests had the opportunity to see for themselves the massive destruction of public infrastructure in the city, visiting the area destroyed by missile strikes residential areas.
In the future, the representatives of the Republic of Serbia aim to promote the idea of restoring the regions of Kyiv affected by the Russian occupation among world politics and the business environment. At the same time, first of all, we are talking about the actualization of the reconstruction of the social infrastructure of Irpen, Bucha and Gostomel, which is now extremely necessary for the full restoration of life in these areas of the capital.
Our Foundation will also be happy to join the relevant process, providing foreign partners with all the necessary information.
By the way, it should be noted that this is not the first experience of cooperation between “Modern Ukraine” and representatives of this Balkan country. In addition, thanks to the support of the Ukrainian Embassy in Serbia, our Foundation received a large consignment of humanitarian aid with food, baby food, hygiene products, blankets, etc.
We hope that such cooperation and support for Ukraine by the Serbian people will only intensify, and the result of cooperation between the two countries will be the implementation of joint projects that are useful in their institutional purpose for both Ukraine and Serbia.
