The fund allocated a grant for the treatment of a boy from Izyum
As part of the first stage of the For Kids UA social project, the «Modern Ukraine» Charitable Foundation allocated a grant for the treatment of a boy from Kharkiv Oblast (Izyum).
Little Bohdan is only 5 years old, but he has already faced many challenges. He has a congenital dislocation of the left hip and a shortened left leg. This significantly disrupts the function of the musculoskeletal system of the child.
The boy has already undergone more than one surgical intervention, and recently doctors recommended him to install special metal structures on his left hip joint.
Knowing about the For Kids UA social project, the management of the Department of Health Protection of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration reached the Foundation about this.
The doctors of the utility enterprise of the Kharkiv Regional Council «Regional Clinical Traumatology Hospital» agreed to perform an operation on the child, the only thing that needed to be helped was to purchase the structures themselves.
So, without hesitation, at the beginning of May, the Foundation decided to help the boy. And the other day, our representative in the Kharkiv region, Oleksandr Yaryomenko, visited little Bohdan to inquire about his well-being after the constructions were installed and to please him with a pleasant surprise: a Lego constructor and sweets.
Now the boy is doing well and although he still has a long period of treatment and rehabilitation ahead of him, he, like a real Cossack, is holding on courageously and already dreams of fully enjoying his leisure time among his peers.
The entire team of the «Modern Ukraine» Charitable Foundation sincerely wishes Bohdanchyk that this moment will come as soon as possible, and that the hospital ward will be replaced by children’s fun, joy and laughter.
