«Victory is inner peace, – results of the Saint Nicholas Day promotion»«Victory is inner peace, – results of the Saint Nicholas Day promotion
Art is the language of shades, strokes and hidden meanings. And in the conditions of war, its manifestations have a special emotional force, because they characterize a separate line of life, a history of experiences, suffering and emotions.
The art of war through the eyes of children is something incredible. After all, the feeling and perception of everything around a child becomes especially acute. But Ukrainian children’s understanding of the modern realities of war will surprise few people. At the same time, young Ukrainians’ view of victory in their own imagination is not typical. Moreover, if the mission of stopping the war fell to the modern generation of Ukrainians, then the rebuilding of the state after it and its flourishing and strengthening of influence in the global world will depend on the next one.
That is why, on the eve of St. Nicholas Day, the Charitable Foundation «Modern Ukraine” initiated an action called “Draw the victory of Ukraine».
After all, it is important for us to hear how this victory is seen by young Ukrainians in small cities and large megalopolises, in the restless front-line territories of the East or South, and almost carefree regions of the West.
Moreover, as it turned out, the children themselves do not want to be left out of the future of the country and have their own vision for its further development. Our volunteers were convinced of this, having received more than 100 different drawings as a result.
In each of them, the children tried to depict their own vision of victory, its symbols, expectations and results.
«We didn’t even expect that children from all over Ukraine would so actively join the action. Children from Borodyanka, Krasnokutsk, Lutsk, Kharkiv, Drabov, Lyubartsy, Kropyvnytskyi, Brovary… The list of cities and towns, villages and settlements from which works came was simply insane. The youngest participant of the initiative was only 3 years old, but that didn’t stop little Valery Duhnenko from Borodyanka to join our campaign and share her vision of victory with the whole country», Volodymyr Havrush, President of the Charitable Foundation «Modern Ukraine», shared his impressions while summing up the initiative.
He also spoke with special warmth about the children from Drabov, who decided to paint their vision of victory with the entire orphanage.
That is why, according to the coordinator of cultural programs of the Foundation, Pavlo Babenka, the «Modern Ukraine» team decided not only to show the collected drawings to the whole of Ukraine and hand them over to support our fighters at the front, but also to thank the little participants with sweet treats in return.
«Everyone who sent their work received sweets on the occasion of St. Nicholas Day at the address that was indicated in the work submission. And this is the ray of joy and warmth that we wanted to present to the children who showed concern not just for the action, but for the future of our country», stated Pavlo Babenko.
At the same time, the entire team of the «Modern Ukraine» Charitable Foundation expresses sincere thanks to all participants of the «Draw Ukraine’s Victory» campaign, as well as to our donors and partners, thanks to whose support, rush and rays of happiness will appear on the faces of the poor , when they will be delighted to unpack the sweets received in return.
After all, despite all the difficulties of the war and the challenges of the cold winter, we must never forget that the greatest and most valuable warmth is in our hearts.
Below, we bring to your attention a selection of drawings sent by participants of the «Draw a Victory of Ukraine» campaign.
