“Easter basket” for the families of the fallen defenders of Volyn
On the eve of Easter, on the initiative of the head of the Volyn Regional Center Yuriy Pogulyaik and the President of the Charitable Foundation “Modern Ukraine” Volodymyr Havrysh, a social action – “Easter basket” – was implemented in Volyn.
This initiative has been carried out by the Foundation for the second year in a row and aims to pay attention to the families of Ukrainian defenders who died as a result of Russian aggression.
There are 1,045 families in Volyn. So the volunteers of the Foundation created 1,050 Easter baskets, which included cereals, pasta, flour, sugar, sunflower oil, eggs, stew, canned porridge, pate, candies and, of course, paska.
The first of them were distributed to the families of fallen soldiers already this Friday in Lutsk on the territory of the Holy Trinity Cathedral.
There, the Metropolitan of Lutsk and Volhynia, Mykhail (Zinkevich), held a prayer in memory of all those killed in this war.
The rest of the Easter baskets have already been sent to Volyn communities and will be handed over to the families of the fallen defenders in the coming days

Special thanks to the team of Novovolyn Lyceum No. 9, who also joined the campaign, helping with the baking of 200 pascas.
