«Modern Ukraine», together with its partners, handed over trucks for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
In the central square near the main Flag of Ukraine on the territory of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War, volunteers handed over a batch of large-sized trucks to increase the efficiency of transporting combat kits and other military equipment, which supplied to Ukraine by Western partners in preparation for a counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The equipment was handed over to the military headed by Andriy Buryan, the Head of the Central Department for the Provision of Military Equipment of the Armaments Command of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In general, within the framework of the initiative, 6 units of trucks produced by MAN SEA, Volvo Group, Scania and DAMM are sent by the efforts of volunteers and with the support of partners to the military unit A0598 of the ZSU.
The benefactors handed over the first 4 trucks directly at the event, and two more are currently on their way to Ukraine and will also be delivered to the defenders after their arrival and completion of all due regulatory work.
All equipment was purchased and delivered to Ukraine from Norway, Germany and Poland. The total cost of all military equipment transferred to the military amounted to over UAH 8.5 million.
The action was the result of the joint cooperation of the DobroDiy Charity Exchange, the Contemporary Ukraine Charity Fund, the FRONT-ART volunteer group, and representatives of socially responsible Ukrainian business (ConcordBank).
President of the «Modern Ukraine» Foundation, Volodymyr GAVRISH:
«When we call on our partners and the whole world not to tire of helping Ukraine, we should be the first to set an example in this regard. Our foundation has delivered almost 50 different vehicles to the front since the beginning of the war, including fast cars, SUVs, and minibuses. Now it’s trucks. They were not easy to transport and even more difficult to find. But thanks to the support of our partners and the desperation of our volunteers, today they are here in Ukraine. Because everyone who participated in their acquisition understands that now they are the wheels of an offensive, and tomorrow they will be the Victory that everyone dreams of. Let them serve and help the country return its own».
The founder of the Charity Exchange «DobroDiy» Olena SOSYEDKA:
«We have already allocated more than UAH 100 million to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We direct not only our own personal funds to Victory, but also a significant part of our business profits – this is the unchanging policy of the Concord Bank. And we are grateful to friends and partners with whom we can do more, on a larger scale. Charity is the work of the soul and the calling of the heart, it has no dimension. However, equipment for the front has a dimension. Therefore, UAH 8.6 million turned into strong wheels for the Armed Forces, which will make our path to Victory shorter».
Founder of the volunteer group «FRONT-ART» Ihor ABRAMOVYCH:
«The endurance, confidence and courage of our frontline defenders is a true art. It consists in expressing one’s own position, protecting one’s native people, their history, and identity. Therefore, by supporting such initiatives, we give a chance to our “artists of the front” not to be distracted by issues of everyday security and to focus on more global challenges and the strategy of protecting the country. Thanks to all partners who helped make this idea a reality. Together, both on the front line and on the volunteer front, Ukrainians are endowed with superhuman strength».
At the same time, Andriy Buryan, Head of the Central Department of Military Equipment Supply of the Armaments Command of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, emphasized the value of the equipment donated by volunteers and presented personal thanks to the benefactors from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery ZALUZHNY.
