With the financial support of ConcordBank and in cooperation with the «DobroDiy» Charitable Exchange and the Head of the Volyn Regional Center Yuriy Pogulyak, the Suchasna Ukraine Charitable Foundation sent almost 50 tons of humanitarian aid from Volyn to Kherson Oblast.

The official sending of the humanitarian mission took place today on the Kyiv Maidan in Lutsk, next to the Volyn Oblast.

Among the items collected by the benefactors are the means and equipment necessary for the immediate fight against the consequences of the flooding of territories and assistance to the evacuated population of the Kherson region.

In particular, 20,000 liters of drinking water went to Kherson residents, provided with the assistance of the director and founder of the well-known Volyn company for the production of mineral water «Yodanka» – Yuriy Pikuta.

In addition, the humanitarian cargo includes: 50 gasoline motor pumps, 7 generators, a Bluetti AC200 Max charging power station, 6,400 cans of stewed meat with porridge and 200 kg. feed for animals. The list also includes hygiene products, medicines, food products, warm blankets, mattresses, household appliances.

The equipment is on its way to the family of Tetyana Pavelko, a well-known nurse in the intensive care unit of the Kherson Regional Children’s Hospital in Kherson. During the occupation, she and her colleagues saved more than one newborn baby from deportation, and even adopted a little girl, Kira. Currently, the woman’s home is destroyed, so the family has settled in with friends. The day before, the family asked to buy a washing machine and a refrigerator, which our volunteers did.

According to Yuriy Pogulyaik, the Head of the Volyn Regional State Administration, what the Kherson region is experiencing today is another evidence that the civilized world is dealing with a terrorist country.

«Russia long ago lost the human and moral guidelines capable of stopping the Kremlin. In Putin’s Russia, the empire comes first, and the people second. In Ukraine, people and their lives have the greatest value. We understand this every day. That is why we support every such initiative of philanthropists with existing means and will help volunteers in the future. Thanks everyone for your help. This is another successful example of the fact that, united, we are capable of anything», the head of the region noted.

At the same time, the President of the Charitable Foundation «Modern Ukraine» Volodymyr Havrysh said that their team was at the epicenter of the events from the first hours after the Kakhovskaya HPP dam was blown up.

«Volunteers of «Modern Ukraine» led by Andrii Zaverukha are constantly working in Kherson Oblast. Therefore, our representative offices in Kirovohrad region and Mykolaiv region immediately sent help to support the people of Kherson. Today, she is leaving from Volyn. Tomorrow will be Dnipro. And it will always be like that. After all, what the people of Kherson are experiencing today is not just a crime against humanity. It is a shared pain. And it can be overcome only by uniting the efforts of everyone around», said the Volyn philanthropist.

«All our attention is now focused on terrible footage from the south of Ukraine», Olena Sosyedka, head of the supervisory board and shareholder of ConcordBank, co-founder of the first fintech ecosystem in Ukraine, Concord Fintech Solutions, and the Charity Exchange «DobroDiy» commented on the program.

«ConcordBank, as a socially responsible business, could not remain aloof from the events in Kherson and the consequences of the destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPP by the occupiers. Therefore, without any hesitation, we funded the request of volunteers».

Lolita Kuzina, Chairman of the Board of the DobroDiy Charity Exchange:  «Unfortunately, we live in such times when we are united by difficulties and trials. This time, such a unifying factor for Ukrainians was the tragedy in the Kherson region, which was provoked by the Russian occupiers. The humanitarian mission aimed at helping the affected residents of the South is the result of effective cooperation of benefactors from different regions (Dnipro, Kyiv and Volyn) for a common goal».

Let’s note that all aid sent to Kherson Region will be distributed according to the needs and requests of the Coordination Headquarters for assistance to evacuees.

We will remind you that recently we talked about the fact that «Suchasna Ukraina» together with its partners handed over trucks for the Armed Forces.
