The fund helped a nurse who saved children from deportation
During the recent humanitarian mission to Kherson, volunteers of the Charitable Foundation «Modern Ukraine» visited the family of Tetyana Pavelko.
She is a nurse at the Kherson Regional Children’s Hospital, who during the occupation, together with her colleagues, saved more than one Ukrainian baby from illegal deportation to Russia.
At the same time, they resorted to various tricks. They forged medical cards, simulated connection to ventilators, and later Ms. Tatyana even dared to adopt one of the babies.
After the liberation of Kherson, her family breathed a sigh of relief, but as it turned out, not for long. Tetyana Pavelko’s house was destroyed by water as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP.
So, together with her children, she was forced to move to her relatives in the Shumensky microdistrict. Although it is safer there, there is a lack of everyday amenities. That is why she turned to the Foundation with a request to help buy a refrigerator and a washing machine for the family. There was very little time to complete this request, but we managed to do it.
Andriy Milinchuk, a deputy of the Kovel city council, came to the aid of the Fund in this matter. He bought a washing machine for his family at his own expense, and Oksana Bagnova, the secretary of the Kovel City Council, provided a refrigerator.
The support of the Kovel entrepreneur, owner of «CHEM WHOLESALE TRADE» LLC, Viktor Oliferovych, came in quite handy. He allocated a car to bring everything collected in Kovel to the truck in Lutsk, which was headed for Kherson.
The other day, the President of the «Modern Ukraine» Charitable Foundation, Volodymyr Havrysh, together with the representative of the Foundation in the Kherson Region, Andrii Zaverukha, delivered and handed over the appropriate equipment directly to the family.
We sincerely wish that it serves reliably and gives at least a part of the lost home comfort. We also thank all partners and benefactors who did not stay away from human suffering and showed sensitivity and care.
We will remind you that recently we talked about the fact that volunteers of the Foundation from Dnipro also visited Kherson Oblast with a humanitarian mission.
